The Body as a Whole

Knowledge IS "what we do"

It’s not just the techniques that “we do” but we are recognized by how we integrate education, practice and research in being able to diagnose and intervene with all systems. The Movement System is the core construct of our body of knowledge. Too many Physical Therapists look at the patient by symptom or through the blinders of their particular specialty area. Cumberland Physical Therapy looks at the patient as a whole of anatomical structures and physiological functions that interact to move the component parts of “movement”.

Common Conditions Treated

We want to provide our patients an opportunity to improve their quality of life and overcome barriers to physical function. By focusing on root causes and not just symptoms our vision is to also get the greatest pain relief and re improve each patient's overall health and emotional well-being. As physical therapists we aim to teach and guide our patents in long lasting changes in modifying their activities and to take home a positive attitude with well thought out maintenance goals for their continued improvement
